Description

Amheart Solutions is currently looking for entry-level CAD Technicians to assist in civil engineering related projects. Successful candidates will work under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer or a Project Manager. Primary duties will include computer-aided drafting in AutoCAD and Civil 3D to prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphics for engineering designs. This is an excellent opportunity for growth for a self-directed individual who wants to learn new skills and take on new challenges.

 

Required qualifications

  • Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience;

  • Attention to detail;

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills;

  • Ability to work in a team environment;

  • Ability to follow written drafting standards and guidelines;

  • Ability to create alignments and profiles;

  • Has experience preparing improvement plans.

  • Basic Civil 3D knowledge at minimum; and

  • 2+ years of experience in civil-related drafting.

 

Highly desirable qualifications

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016;

  • Knowledge of Microstation and InRoads;

  • Ability to prepare site improvement, grading, and drainage plans;

  • Ability to create/manipulate Civil 3D ground surfaces, cross sections, profiles, and pipe networks.

  • Ability to prepare volumetric calculations using surfaces.
